Dr. Basavaraj Shantaram Kothavale

Bio

Prof. Dr. Basavaraj S Kothavale, has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and has more than 20 years of experience in the field of teaching and research. Currently, they serve as a Professor and Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the S.G. Balekundri Institute of Technology, Belgaum, Karnataka, India. Their research interests include Composite Materials, Tribology, and Sustainable Energy. They have guided several research scholars and published numerous papers in reputed international journals and conferences. The individual's contributions have been recognized with awards and honors, including the Best Teacher Award from Visvesvaraya Technological University in 2015.

1) Received fund of Rs 15 Lakh from AICTE under MODROB scheme

2) Developed, “Solar Operated Handcart for Hawkers”, for that received fund of Rs 1.80 lakh from DSIR New Delhi
