Ms. Achira Chakraborty has research interests in Corporate Law and Corporate Governance, Banking and Financial Laws, Forensic Due Diligence and Financial Fraud Investigation, Board Accountability and Regulatory Compliance, Banking Fraud Prevention and Financial Crime, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Law, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Regulation. Her academic pursuits focus on advancing interdisciplinary legal research and contributing to the evolution of corporate governance, banking regulation, and financial accountability through innovative scholarship, policy-oriented research, and excellence in legal education.

Educational Qualifications

Ms. Achira Chakraborty is currently pursuing a full-time Ph.D. at the School of Law, MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune, in the domain of Banking and Corporate Law.Through her research, she aims to contribute to the evolving legal framework governing corporate governance, banking regulation, financial accountability, and regulatory compliance by promoting transparent, ethical, and sustainable governance practices.

She completed her BBA-LLB(H) from Icfai University Tripura and subsequently she earned her LLM degree in Corporate Law from G.D.Goenka University, Gurugram, Haryana. She reflects her interest in emerging areas of legal education and technological regulation.

Areas of Expertise : Environmental Law, Corporate Law, Banking Law, Constitutional Law.

Teaching Experience 
She has served as a Guest Faculty at Jirania Law College, where she taught subjects including Environmental Law, Company Law, Contract Law, Labour Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Land Laws. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes critical thinking, practical application of legal principles, interdisciplinary learning, and student engagement. She is committed to advancing legal scholarship through high-quality research, innovative teaching, and meaningful engagement with contemporary legal and policy issues. She aspires to contribute to legal education, policy development, and institutional governance through academic excellence and impactful research.
