Mr. Abhinay Kamble

Bio

Abhinay Kamble brings together academic depth and creative practice as a filmmaker and media professional, A UGC-NET Qualified with a strong academic foundation in Psychology (B.A.) and Media and Communication Studies (M.Sc. Savitribai Phule Pune University). Specializing in video production, his work spans direction, cinematography, and documentary filmmaking.

Abhinay Shot & co-directed Bhutacha Mala, inspired by the writings of Annabhau Sathe, and contributed as a camera assistant to Gana Gondhal, a feature film exploring subaltern art and politics. His latest documentary film project, The Bombay Philatelist, traces the journey of a retired PWD worker whose vast collection of rare postage stamps serves as a testament to cultural preservation.

A 2024 fellow of PSBT’s Doc_Commune project, Abhinay’s practice lies at the intersection of creative storytelling and academic inquiry. With expertise in multimedia production, photojournalism, and visual design, he works across diverse mediums to engage with themes of culture, identity, and social consciousness.
