MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune, welcomed the first batch of students at the Hafeez Contractor School of Architecture and Prof. Makarand Hastak School of Construction Engineering & Management with Shubharambh 2026, marking the beginning of their academic journey in architecture and construction management.

The induction programme brought together students, university leadership and distinguished guests for a day of meaningful interactions and insights into the academic and professional journey ahead.

The event brought together distinguished academic and industry voices. Dr. Abhay V. Purohit, Former President, Council of Architecture (CoA) and Founder Director, IDEAS, Nagpur; Dr. Rajiv Mishra, Principal, Sir JJ College of Architecture; and Dr. Makarand Hastak (virtually present) shared valuable perspectives with students on their academic and professional journeys.

The induction marked more than just the beginning of a new academic year; it introduced students to a learning journey centred on professional growth, industry awareness, and the evolving possibilities across the built environment. Regular academic sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students from both schools commenced following the induction programme.

With Shubharambh 2026, MIT-WPU welcomed its first cohort at these schools and set the stage for an enriching journey of learning, exploration and professional excellence in architecture and construction management.
