Shubharambh 2025: A Grand Kick-Off to a Year of Inspiration and Discovery

Shubharambh 2025 marked a grand and inspiring beginning to the academic year at MIT-WPU, bringing together students, esteemed guests, and faculty in a celebration of new possibilities and collective excellence.

The two day event commenced with the traditional lamp lighting and World Peace Prayer, creating an atmosphere of unity, wisdom, and hope. The event was graced by distinguished guests, Vice Admiral Gurucharan Singh, Commandant of the National Defence Academy, and Mr. Parveen Chander Kumar, Executive Vice President, Indian Hotels Co. Ltd. (Taj Group of Hotels), whose inspiring addresses left an indelible impression on all present, inspiring the new batch of students as they embarked on their academic journey.

Respected leaders of MIT-WPU, Dr. R. M. Chitnis (Vice Chancellor), Dr. Prasad Khandekar (Chief Academic Officer), Dr. Milind Pande (Pro Vice Chancellor), Dr. Ganesh Pokale (Registrar), and Dr. Santosh Sonavane (Chief Operating Officer), shared thoughtful insights, offering a warm welcome and reinforcing the university’s vision for excellence.

A special highlight was the visit of Dr. Rahul V. Karad, Executive President, MIT-WPU, who personally interacted with students and visited the lively welcoming stalls organised by various student clubs. His encouraging words and sincere engagement infused the event with enthusiasm and connectedness, making the new batch feel truly at home.
