R.I.D.E. 2026 at MIT-WPU: Turning Insights into Impact

MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune, hosted the fifth edition of R.I.D.E. 2026 (Research, Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship), bringing together students, innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and mentors on a dynamic platform for ideas, collaboration, and transformative action.

Conceptualised in 2022, R.I.D.E. has evolved into a flagship intra-university initiative that encourages students to move beyond conventional academic boundaries and explore the possibilities of research, innovation, design, and entrepreneurship. The 2026 edition was centred around the theme “Insight to Impact (I2I)”, emphasising the journey from knowledge and ideas to meaningful, measurable action.

Structured around its four foundational pillars—Research, Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship—R.I.D.E. 2026 offered students an immersive learning experience designed to foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and execution. Through expert talks and panel discussions, students interacted with accomplished professionals and gained first-hand insights into innovation, industry, design, and entrepreneurial journeys.

A key highlight of the edition was the Startup Expo, which brought together startups to showcase their products and solutions and provided opportunities for interaction with investors. The Investment Sessions created a platform for entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas, connect with potential investors, and explore funding opportunities.

The event also built on the remarkable achievement of R.I.D.E. 2025, when MIT-WPU facilitated the creation of 2,000 student-led ventures, earning a World Record for the highest number of ventures created through a university innovation initiative. Building on this milestone, R.I.D.E. 2026 encouraged students to identify real-world challenges, validate ideas, and develop scalable solutions through mentorship, industry interaction, and continuous learning.

Through R.I.D.E. 2026, MIT-WPU reaffirmed its commitment to creating an innovation-driven ecosystem where students are empowered to transform curiosity into ideas, ideas into action, and insights into meaningful impact.
