National Academic Immersion Programme at IIT Jodhpur
Jun 26, 2026
As part of the National Academic Immersion Programme (NAIP) 2026, 167 third-year students from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune, participated in a ten-day academic immersion programme at the Technology Innovation and Startup Centre (TISC), IIT Jodhpur, from 16th to 25th June 2026.
Accompanied by four faculty members, the students attended expert-led lectures and interactive sessions on emerging areas such as analog and digital circuit design, IC fabrication, VLSI design flow, hardware verification, signal processing, wireless power transfer for electric vehicles, AI hardware accelerators, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
The programme also included visits to the Jodhpur Centre for Knowledge and Innovation Foundation (JCKIF), Central Research Facility (CRF), and AIoT Laboratories, offering students valuable exposure to advanced research infrastructure, innovation ecosystems, and cutting-edge technological developments.
Complementing the academic experience, students participated in cultural and heritage visits across Jodhpur, encouraging holistic learning, teamwork, and peer interaction. The immersion programme successfully bridged the gap between classroom learning and industry-oriented engineering practices, enhancing students' understanding of semiconductor technologies, embedded systems, and research-driven innovation while preparing them for higher studies and careers in advanced electronics and VLSI.
