M.Tech. Students Gain Hands-on Exposure at Pune Ring Road Project

The Department of Civil Engineering, MIT-WPU, Pune organised a site visit to the Pune Ring Road Project for students of the M.Tech. (Construction Engineering & Management) programme, offering them an opportunity to gain first hand exposure to real-world construction practices.

The visit helped students understand various aspects of construction project execution, including project planning, construction methodologies, quality control and site management. Observing these processes on site enabled them to connect concepts learnt in the classroom with their practical applications in a live infrastructure project.

Industry-oriented learning experiences such as these help strengthen students’ technical understanding, develop practical problem-solving skills and familiarise them with the complexities of construction projects. Such exposure equips students to approach professional challenges with greater confidence and a stronger understanding of the construction industry.
