MIT-WPU, Pune Hosts Delegation of 18 Australian Universities and Institutions to Strengthen Australia–India Higher Education Partnerships

MIT-WPU, Pune hosted a delegation of 18 Australian universities and institutions, facilitated by Austrade, for an engaging interaction focused on strengthening Australia–India higher education partnerships and creating opportunities for greater global collaboration.

The visit brought together representatives from leading Australian institutions, WPU Pune’s senior leadership and students for meaningful conversations around the evolving landscape of global education and international engagement.

Dr. Rahul V. Karad, Executive President, MIT-WPU, interacted with the visiting delegates and shared perspectives on the importance of global connections, international collaboration and creating learning experiences that prepare students to engage with an increasingly interconnected world.

A key highlight of the engagement was a curated student panel that enabled visiting delegates to interact directly with MIT-WPU, Pune students. The discussions offered perspectives on student experiences, international exposure and opportunities to connect learning with the wider global community. The delegation also experienced the WPU Pune campus through a guided campus tour.

The discussions explored opportunities across academic collaboration, student mobility, research and international engagement, reinforcing the importance of strong institutional partnerships in creating meaningful global learning opportunities for students.

MIT-WPU, Pune’s existing partnerships with Macquarie University, Monash University and Deakin University reflect its continued commitment to building meaningful international connections. Through such collaborations, the university seeks to broaden perspectives, facilitate cross-cultural learning and enable students to learn, engage and grow beyond boundaries.
