MIT-WPU Hosts Hoop It Up 2026: Inter-College Basketball Championship

Hoop It Up – 2026, an Inter-College Basketball Championship, was organised by the MIT- WPU Department of Sports & Gymkhana from 3rd to 7th September 2026 at the MIT- WPU Basketball Court. The championship was organised as part of the celebrations commemorating the Birthday of Dr. Rahul V. Karad, Executive President, MIT-WPU, and National Sports Day.

The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from 60 teams representing various colleges, competing across the Junior U-19 and Senior Boys and Girls categories. The event provided young athletes with an opportunity to showcase their basketball skills while demonstrating teamwork, discipline, coordination and sportsmanship.

With spirited matches and strong inter-college participation, Hoop It Up – 2026 created an energetic and competitive sporting environment. The championship encouraged healthy competition, fair play, confidence and team spirit, while contributing to the promotion of a strong culture of sportsmanship and competitive excellence at MIT-WPU.
