The School of Health Sciences and Technology at MIT-WPU, Pune, in collaboration with the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, successfully hosted a transformative one-day National Workshop on Entrepreneurship and Startups in Pharma and Pharmacy Practice on 06 March 2025 at MIT-WPU Campus.

The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, setting an auspicious tone for the day of innovation and learning. Vice Chancellor Dr. R.M. Chitnis and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Sanjay Kamtekar delivered inspiring addresses that energised the audience of aspiring pharmaceutical entrepreneurs. A special highlight was the felicitation of Shri Vijay Pandurang Patil, Maharashtra State Representative of the Pharmacy Council of India, recognising his contributions to the pharmacy field.

Four dynamic panel discussions featuring industry leaders formed the core of the summit, illuminating pathways for pharmaceutical innovation, developing incubation centres, and navigating startup challenges. Participants gained invaluable insights through these interactive sessions and networking opportunities with experts from across the pharmaceutical sector.

The workshop equipped attendees with practical knowledge and inspiration to transform healthcare through entrepreneurship, planting seeds of innovation that promise to blossom into the pharmaceutical breakthroughs of tomorrow.
