MIT World Peace University, Pune, recently organised a Felicitation Ceremony to honour 170 Most Inspirational Teachers identified through a campus-wide student initiative. The recognition celebrates educators who have made a meaningful impact on students through their ability to inspire, encourage, listen, and guide.

The initiative forms part of MIT-WPU’s efforts to strengthen its growing student startup ecosystem by developing an internal pool of mentors who can support aspiring entrepreneurs during the early stages of their startup journeys.

Students across the University participated in identifying the educators who inspired them the most. The 170 teachers selected through the initiative included visiting faculty and three Deans, reflecting the impact of mentorship across diverse academic disciplines at MIT-WPU.

The Felicitation Ceremony was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Raviraja N. Seetharam, Vice Chancellor, MIT-WPU, who addressed the gathering and celebrated the contribution of the inspirational teachers. Dr. Milind Pande, Pro Vice-Chancellor, MIT-WPU, felicitated the recipients with mementoes in recognition of their role in mentoring and motivating students.

As part of the initiative, these educators will serve as accessible touchpoints across campus for students exploring entrepreneurship and early-stage startup ideas. They will also be introduced to advanced startup mentoring frameworks and ecosystem practices, enabling them to better guide students as they navigate their entrepreneurial journeys.

By recognising educators who go beyond academic instruction to mentor, motivate, and encourage students, MIT-WPU continues to foster a campus culture where ideas are supported, entrepreneurial aspirations are nurtured, and students are empowered to transform their ideas into meaningful ventures.

Heartiest congratulations to all the Most Inspirational Teachers on this well-deserved recognition.
