MIT-WPU Commences the Academic Year with Shubharambh 2026

MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune, welcomed its newest cohort of students through Shubharambh 2026, the University's annual induction programme designed to introduce students to the institution's academic ecosystem, values, and transformative learning opportunities.

Organised over multiple sessions for different academic divisions, the programme brought together the University leadership, distinguished industry experts, accomplished alumni, faculty members, and students to mark the beginning of a new academic journey.

The inauguration commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting and the World Peace Prayer, reflecting MIT-WPU's philosophy of blending academic excellence with value-based education. The sessions featured addresses by the University's senior leadership. Students were introduced to the University's academic framework, examination processes, student support ecosystem, experiential learning initiatives, leadership opportunities, and campus life.

The programme also featured inspiring interactions with distinguished chief guests from diverse sectors, including defence, banking, manufacturing, public administration, law, and industry, who encouraged students to embrace innovation, integrity, lifelong learning, and leadership. Alumni of MIT-WPU shared their personal journeys and professional experiences, offering valuable insights into career growth and the opportunities that await students beyond the classroom.

Addressing students from various schools and divisions, academic leaders highlighted the unique strengths of their respective disciplines and encouraged students to make the most of MIT-WPU's interdisciplinary learning environment, industry collaborations, research opportunities, and experiential learning initiatives.

The event concluded with vibrant cultural performances, a vote of thanks, and the recitation of Pasaaydan, setting an inspiring tone for the academic year ahead.
