On August 15, 2025, MIT World Peace University campus became a vibrant tapestry of patriotism as we celebrated India's 79th Independence Day with unprecedented grandeur and heartfelt devotion.
The morning dawned with the ceremonial Flag Hoisting, accompanied by the soulful rendition of our National Anthem that echoed across the campus, filling every heart with profound reverence. The spectacular NCC Flag March followed, showcasing the discipline, courage, and unwavering national pride that defines our institution's spirit and commitment to excellence.
Our distinguished Chief Guest, Hon'ble Lt. Gen. Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM – General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, delivered an inspiring address that emphasised the youth's critical role as architects of India's progress toward Viksit Bharat@2047. His powerful words on Military-Civil Fusion, the importance of Atmanirbharta, and the crucial cooperation between Armed Forces and citizens for nation-building resonated deeply with every attendee, igniting a renewed sense of responsibility and patriotic fervor.
Dr. R. M. Chitnis, Vice Chancellor of MIT-WPU, shared invaluable insights on service and leadership, while the ceremony reached its crescendo with the Presidential Address by Rev. Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, UNESCO Chair Holder, Founder & Chief Patron, MIT-WPU. Ms. Akshita Saxena, Cultural Secretary, graciously concluded the celebrations with her heartfelt Vote of Thanks.
This remarkable day strengthened our collective commitment to advancing Knowledge, Peace, and Unity, ensuring that the spirit of freedom continues to inspire and guide future generations in building a stronger, more united Bharat.
