IPR & Innovation: From Idea to Impact

The Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organised a guest session on “IPR & Innovation: From Idea to Impact” on 24 August 2026 at VT405, Vashishtha Building, Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune.

The session was led by Mr. Raghavendra Bhat, Founder, INNOIPS, who shared valuable insights into innovation, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), idea validation, intellectual property protection, and the process of transforming innovative ideas into meaningful real-world impact.

The session offered faculty members and students practical perspectives on the journey from ideation to innovation and innovation to impact. Discussions focused on identifying and validating innovative ideas, understanding the IPR landscape, protecting intellectual creations, and strategically taking innovations towards real-world applications.

Through an interactive exchange, participants gained a greater understanding of innovation management and intellectual property protection, along with the pathways through which innovative concepts can be developed into impactful solutions.

The session reinforced MIT-WPU’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, intellectual property awareness, and knowledge-driven impact among its faculty members and students.
