The School of Computer Science & Engineering and the School of Engineering and Technology at MIT World Peace University, Pune successfully organized the Industry Academia Conclave 2026 in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and IET. The conclave served as a dynamic platform bringing together industry leaders, innovators, researchers, and academicians to deliberate on shaping the future technology landscape of the nation.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Shrikant Patil, CEO, Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSInS), Government of Maharashtra. The inaugural ceremony was further graced by distinguished dignitaries including Mr. Mritunjay Singh, COO, L&T Tech Services; Mr. Sampathkumaran S.T., Executive President – Defence & Business Unit Head, HFCL Group; and Ms. Rupal Sancheti, Convenor, CII Pune Corporate Health Panel and Managing Director, HealYos & Director, Sancheti Hospital.

The conclave witnessed an excellent turnout with 75+ industry delegates and leaders from diverse engineering sectors, along with 15+ CXO-level panellists, making it a vibrant forum for exchange of ideas and collaboration.

A key highlight of the event was the series of 18+ technical talks, offering participants valuable insights into emerging technologies, industry trends, and real-world applications. The Innovation Gallery showcased student project booths from across engineering disciplines, reflecting the University’s strong emphasis on experiential learning and innovation.

The conclave also featured engaging panel discussions on critical themes shaping the future of engineering and technology :

The Industry Academia Conclave 2026 successfully created a collaborative ecosystem where knowledge exchange, innovation, and strategic dialogue converged—empowering talent and contributing towards building a future-ready, Industry 5.0-driven workforce.
