Global Leadership Workshop on Building Emotionally Intelligent Organisations Held at MIT-WPU

The Ram Charan School of Leadership (RSOL) hosted the Global Leadership Workshop on Building Emotionally Intelligent Organisations, in association with The Power of Words (TPOW), on 1 September 2026 at MIT World Peace University.

The workshop brought together leaders, educators, professionals and students for insightful discussions on leadership, emotional intelligence, compassion, communication, workplace culture and the human side of organisations.

The day featured a series of engaging sessions, including The Seven Tools, The Emotionally Intelligent Workplace and The Student and Workplace Bridge. The programme also included executive panel discussions on Compassion Fatigue in Frontline Care and The Brilliant Engineer – Who Now Manages People, exploring the evolving challenges of leadership and people management across professional contexts.

The workshop welcomed Ms. Deborah Sawaf, Founder & CEO, The Power of Words, and Mr. Dominic Thomas, Co-Founder, The Power of Words, whose insights added depth to the conversations around emotional intelligence and leadership. The participation of MIT- WPU’s leadership further enriched the dialogue and highlighted the importance of developing leaders who combine professional competence with empathy, emotional intelligence and social responsibility.

The workshop reflects RSOL’s continued commitment to creating learning experiences that connect leadership theory with real-world organisational challenges and prepare students and professionals to lead with greater awareness, compassion and purpose.
