Celebrating Unity and Patriotism : 76th Republic Day Celebration at MIT-WPU

MIT World Peace University proudly celebrated the 76th Republic day with great enthusiasm and respect. The event commenced with the arrival of our esteemed Chief Guest, Lt. Gen. B.T. Pandit, PVSM, VrC (Retd.), who was warmly welcomed by our Executive President Dr. Rahul V. Karad and other senior officials of the university.
The patriotic spirit was palpable as the NCC troop led a flag march, culminating in the ceremonial unfurling of the National Flag by the Chief Guest and dignitaries. The National Anthem filled the air, followed by a stunning release of tricolor balloons, symbolizing our commitment to freedom and unity.
For the first time, student clubs at MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) showcased their impressive work and achievements, including the remarkable success of SteRG's payload launch on ISRO’s PSLV-C60. This addition highlighted the innovative spirit and dedication of our students, making the event even more memorable.
A short film on the First National Legislators’ Conference was screened, emphasizing our democratic values followed by an inspiring address from the Executive President Dr. Rahul V. Karad . The Chief Guest, Lt. Gen. Pandit, delivered a motivational speech that deeply resonated with all attendees.
The ceremony concluded with a presidential address by Rev. Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, followed by vote of thanks from Akshata Saxena, Joint Cultural Secretary of MIT-WPU This Republic Day celebration not only honored our constitutional values but also reinforced our collective responsibility as citizens to uphold these ideals in our daily lives.
In essence, this Republic Day celebration was more than just an event; it was a reaffirmation of our collective identity as proud citizens of India. The day ignited a spark of patriotism and solidarity among all present, ensuring that the spirit of unity and peace will continue to thrive within the MIT-WPU community long after the celebrations have concluded.
