DroneX Innovation Lab

The DroneX Innovation Lab is an industry-collaborative facility established by the Department of Computer Engineering and Technology, Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune, in collaboration with AiRotor Technologies LLP. Inaugurated on 17 September 2025, the lab serves as a dedicated centre for drone research, innovation, and experiential learning.

Equipped with advanced infrastructure, the lab provides students and faculty with hands-on exposure to drone design, assembly, programming, testing, and deployment across diverse real-world applications. It promotes interdisciplinary research, industry-academia collaboration, and practical skill development in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).

The DroneX Innovation Lab also encourages students to undertake innovation-driven projects, participate in research initiatives, and develop industry-relevant competencies, preparing them for emerging opportunities in the rapidly evolving drone and aerospace ecosystem.
