Profile

Shri S. K. Survase is a distinguished Civil Engineering professional with over 36 years of experience in planning, development, construction, and management of major infrastructure projects. He holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering and a Post Graduate qualification in Business Management. He joined the Public Works Department in 1989 after securing merit in the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination. He has served as Chief Engineer (Expressway Nodal) with MSRDC, Mumbai, and as General Manager (Technical) & Project Director with NHAI, New Delhi, where he was associated with major National Highway projects involving 4-laning in Gujarat, Bihar, and Jharkhand.

Shri Survase has been associated with several landmark expressway and highway projects, including the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway (NE-1), and the Nagpur–Mumbai Samruddhi Mahamarg. In his present role, he is associated with several major infrastructure initiatives in Maharashtra, including the Mumbai–Pune Missing Link, Pune Ring Road, Jalna–Nanded Expressway, Multimodal Corridor, Shaktipeeth Expressway, Bharvir–Vadhavan Port Expressway, Pune–Nashik Expressway, and Konkan Expressway.

He has extensive expertise in 4/6/8-laning of National Highways, expressways, bridges, flyovers, tendering, contract management, consultancy, and project management. He was instrumental in the development of 55 flyovers in Mumbai and the 4-laning of the Satara–Kagal National Highway. His career also includes innovative engineering works such as the construction and lifting of major bridges at Taloja and Jui Creek. He has also served as Director on SPVs for major infrastructure projects, including the Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway and Mumbai–JNPT Port Road Company Ltd.
