MIT-WPU Signs MoU with Solomon and Co. to Enhance Legal Education and Industry Engagement

The School of Law at MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune, in collaboration with the Centre for Industry-Academia Partnerships (CIAP), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Solomon & Co., one of Mumbai's oldest and most prestigious law firms with a legacy of over 115 years, on 22 August 2025.

The partnership marks a significant step towards strengthening academia-industry collaboration by bridging legal education with professional practice. Through this collaboration, MIT-WPU and Solomon & Co. will work together to foster innovation, knowledge exchange, and skill development, equipping students with industry-relevant competencies and real-world legal exposure.

The MoU will facilitate collaborative research projects, seminars, and faculty development programmes, while also enabling industry inputs for curriculum enhancement. Students will benefit from internship and placement opportunities, live projects, hands-on training sessions, and expert guest lectures. Additionally, the collaboration will promote joint research and publications, continuing education programmes for working professionals, and Management Development Programmes (MDPs) to support lifelong learning and professional growth.
