MIT-WPU Signs MoU with Malegaonkar & Associates to Strengthen Legal Education and Industry Collaboration

The School of Law at MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune, in collaboration with the Centre for Industry-Academia Partnerships (CIAP), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malegaonkar & Associates, a reputed Pune-based law firm, on 16 July 2025.

The collaboration marks a significant step towards strengthening academia-industry engagement by bridging legal education with professional practice. Through this partnership, MIT-WPU and Malegaonkar & Associates aim to foster innovation, knowledge exchange, and experiential learning while preparing students for successful careers in the legal profession.

The MoU will facilitate collaborative research projects, seminars, and faculty development programmes, along with industry inputs for curriculum enhancement. Students will benefit from internships, placement opportunities, live projects, hands-on training, and expert guest lectures. The partnership also includes joint research and publications, continuing education programmes for working professionals, Management Development Programmes (MDPs), faculty training at the firm's premises, and the establishment of a Centre of Excellence by mutual agreement.

This collaboration reinforces MIT-WPU's commitment to delivering industry-aligned legal education and empowering students with the practical skills, professional exposure, and knowledge required to excel in the evolving legal landscape.
