Bio
"Dr. Kishanprasad Gunale is a highly motivated academic professional and a dedicated career counsellor. He received his Ph.D. from Savitribai Phule Pune University in 2019 and completed his B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees with First Class with Distinction from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, in 2001 and 2006, respectively.
Since joining MAEERs, MIT Group of Institutions, Kothrud, Pune, in 2012, Dr. Gunale has contributed significantly to the organization's growth in academic processes, industry collaboration, research, and industry-based competitions such as Smart India Hackathon, IIT-B e-Yantra, Texas Instruments, KPIT Sparkle, TCS Code Vita, and L&T TECHgium, among others.
He played an instrumental role in establishing an IIT Bombay Remote Center and running Faculty/student Development Programs under National Mission on Education through ICT for the overall development of students and faculty. As a workshop coordinator, he organized FDPs on ""Foundation Program in ICT for Education"" and ""Pedagogy for Online and Blended Teaching-Learning Process,"" initiated IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorial activity, and mentored over 1000 students.
Dr. Gunale's industry collaborations include signing MoUs with MAN Trucks and Buses, Devise Electronics, ARAI MIT-WPU joint Ph.D. Collaboration, Tech Mahindra Makers Lab, and KPIT Technologies. To provide students with quality internships, PPOs, and placements, he developed relationships with numerous prominent industries. As the internship and placement coordinator for the School of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Dr. Gunale is actively working on students' technical skill development according to industry requirements, incorporating industry input for curriculum enhancement, training students, and facilitating paid internships. He firmly believes in innovative teaching methodology and being a facilitator of learning.Dr. Gunale has held various academic administrative roles such as coordinator of NBA accreditation, academic Coordinator, curriculum planning and execution, strategic planning, hackathon coordination, training programs for skilling, Ph.D. Entrance examination coordination, internship, and placement coordination. He coordinated the MIT-WPU Hackathon - 2021 at the university level and is actively involved in MHRD- Smart India Hackathon Coordination, leading to consistent student success.
With 22 years of teaching experience, Dr. Gunale has taught various subjects in Automotive, Mechatronics, and Computer Vision domains at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has published 15 papers in reputable journals and conferences in the computer vision and automotive fields, filed four patents, two of which are in the examination stage, and has one copyright to his credit. At KPIT Technologies, he recently finished a two-month sabbatical where he worked on ""Development of FlexCP model using Autosar."" In 2014-15, he completed 15 days of training sponsored by KPIT Technologies on Automotive Electronics and Autosar domain.
Dr. Gunale is also involved in corporate training and consultancy services in the area of Automotive Electronics and fetched consultancy of Rs. 2.42 Lakhs. He has applied for various funding proposals to DST, MODROB, and AICTE. Under AICTE-ISTE Induction/Refresher Program, Rs. 93000/ were approved to this team for organizing ""Professional Development Programme for Digital Transformation in Teaching and Learning."" He has 18 publications to his credit.
He has been invited as an expert in conferences and seminars on computer vision and is a reviewer for SCOPUS and the ESCI journal. His contributions to the KPIT Sparkle competition, the Industry-Academic Conclave (INDCON-2019), admission responsibility,"
