Strengthening Legal Ethics through Vigilance Awareness Week 2025

A Sensitization programme by Anti-Corruption Bureau, Mumbai under Vigilance Awareness Week - 2025 from 27 October to 2 November 2025 was organized on October 31, 2025, by School of Law, Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune on the theme – “Vigilance – Our Shared Responsibility” at its campus in Kothrud Pune. The session featured Sh. Khanderao Ranjawe as the distinguished speaker, Senior Inspector, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Pune branch. The programme was initiated by welcome address given by Dr. Santosh Aghav, Dean - School of Law.
The programme aimed to promote awareness of anti-corruption legislation and ethical governance among students, faculty, and legal professionals. Sh. Ranjawe, an expert from the Anti-Corruption Bureau, delivered an insightful lecture on current anti- corruption frameworks, challenges in enforcement, and the significance of public participation in combating corruption. Participants engaged actively in Q&A, reflecting on practical scenarios and legal procedures.
The collaboration sought to empower law students with deeper knowledge of the anti- corruption machinery, investigative methods, and evolving statutory measures addressing corruption in India. The initiative underscores the university’s commitment to civic education, legal ethics, and the larger goal of promoting peace and good governance as envisioned by MIT World Peace University. The School of Law expressed gratitude to Sh. Khanderao Ranjawe and the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Pune Branch, for sharing their expertise and furthering the university-community partnership in legal education and social responsibility. The programme was attended by Dr. Pornima Inamdar, Dr. Ashwani Pant, Ms. Vaishnavi Andhare, and 150 students from the school.
