Programme Overview

Water is scarce resource and very small fraction of total available water (less than 1%) is usable. It is predicted that future wars will happen on the issue related to scarcity of water. Chemists play a vital role in analysis, treatment and conservation of water. This course is designed to develop hands on experience on water analysis and introduction to water treatment techniques used in industries by way of case studies, projects and internship. The program focuses on chemistry of water, classical and instrumental techniques of water analysis and physical and chemical methods used for water treatment. Students successfully completing this course will have job and entrepreneurship opportunities in water, agriculture, pharma and chemical sectors.

Programme Structure

Certificate course in “Water Analysis and Treatment “is eighteen working weeks (4 months) duration.

Intake : 30

Programme Timing

Monday to Friday: 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm (3 hours per day)
Saturday (Except 1st and 3rd): 9.30 am to 5.30 pm (8 hours)


Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with Chemistry at least up to second year, Diploma or Degree in any branch of engineering except computer, electronics and electrical engineering.
