MIT-WPU ACCELERACERS

Revving up Winning Race cars on Campus through, training, design & test mode

The official Formula Student team of MIT-WPU, Pune. Acceleracers competes in various national and international events. A group of 20 students from various engineering streams who do continual research and development in the field of automobile industry, we design and build a formula style race car. Each of our team members drive for something greater, that’s why we are Team Acceleracers. Team Acceleracers aims to provide a platform to students, where they can design and fabricate formula style car to participate in events like SUPRA and Formula Student India (FSI) and others. We also work towards cultivating innovative approach among the students by designing and manufacturing innovative race cars.

Our workshop is home to innovation of various things. In our workshop, all the team members year after year, design and manufacture their formula type race car. Each time trying to make the fastest, the smartest and the best car. Our aim is to turn the computer design into something real.

We have participated in various competitions like SUPRA SAE India, Formula Student Germany, Formula Students Italy and this year we’ll participate in Formula Student Russia.

Our Recent Achievments
At National (Indian) level: Formula SAE is a student design competition organized by SAE International. The concept behind Formula SAE is that a fictional manufacturing company has contracted a student design team to develop a small Formula-style race car. Each student team designs, builds and tests a prototype based on a series of rules.

At SUPRA SAE National Competition 2015-16, the team has proved to be the best team amongst the 200 participating universities and has outperformed all the IIT’s, NIT’s and prestigious government colleges like COEP.
