A Master’s degree programme in Peace and Conflict Management at MIT-WPU offers a state-of-the- art learning opportunity to comprehend traditional and contemporary pedagogies of peace and conflict management in today's conflict-torn world. In addition, this innovative course endows students with the knowledge and skills to handle a dispute peacefully within and across organisations and communities. The increasing importance of inner and social peace and tools of creative conflict management cannot be overstated in today's globalised world. Hence, this Peace Programme's relevance is for students across disciplines to acquire insights and expertise to analyse and transform conflicts towards a positive outcome.

This Degree programme introduces various shades and methods of Peace and Conflict Resolution. This unique course takes the students step-by-step through conflict analysis and conflict mapping as an evolving field of study to highlight different approaches to handling conflicts. Varied courses offered in this two-year degree programme expose students to the links between inner and social peace, peacebuilding, and sustainable development.

The primary goal of this course is to assist students in becoming agents of social change and true global citizens. It sensitises and trains young people about the imperatives of non-violent communication to promote peace and mitigate violence across communities and at the workplace. This interdisciplinary hands-on course developed with inputs from scholars and practitioners worldwide will help students across disciplines build knowledge of India's spiritual and cultural ethos and the preliminary conflict management knowledge and skills that are increasingly sought in today's job market.

  • All Scholarships are awarded on a First Come First Serve basis. All Scholarships are awarded as fee adjustments.
  • To continue the scholarship for the entire duration of the programme, a minimum level of the academic score has to be maintained at an 8 CGPA across all semesters, attendance is to be maintained at a minimum of 80 percent and there should be no disciplinary action against the student.
