The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program at the School of Commerce, MIT-WPU, Pune, provides platform to students for exploring innovative thinking and research skills in a specialized area and to create a research that represents the quality and originality of knowledge and provide proof of excellence.

The School of Commerce is one of the active Schools at MIT-WPU, Pune. It is driven by research, consultancy, innovative, industry orientation and interdisciplinary studies focused on holistic development of a new generation of leaders in commerce and corporate. The Commerce education at the School empowers the student to comprehend and judge the various global trends in trade and business.
The School has academic collaboration with Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), UK, which aims to strengthen a global profession based on the application of consistent standards in the World of commerce education.
The Central library at our campus is well equipped with commerce related reference books, journals, e-journal, online journal database and various research related software. The School is also well equipped with a computer lab which is used to conduct various workshops related to research methodology and application of statistical software for research scholars.
The School has also started a peer reviewed research journal titled ‘Journal of Trade, Commerce and Business Affairs (JTCBA) which will be platform to research scholars for their research publications.
The team of faculty members is actively engaged in research related activities like research papers published in peer review journals, minor research projects, and book publications.
