Faculties, PG and Ph. D. scholars are working on various research projects; academic, collaborative, consultancy and funded research projects are routinely undertaken in the institute. Funds received for research schemes are more than 225 lakhs. Institute has filed more than 10 patents to Indian Patent office.

  • Dept. of Science and Technology (DST) Nano Mission funded “Self-propelled water driven nanomachine for rapid capture and isolation of circulating tumor cells” project by investigators Dr. Shashwat Banerjee (PI, MIMER) and Dr. Jayant Khandare (CoPI) during 2017-2019 (Rs. 49.0 lakh).

  • DST – SERB funded “Rational design approach in synthesis and evaluation of novel molecules against non-small cell lung cancer” project by Dr. A. R. Chabukswar during 2017-2020 (Rs.45.00 lakh).

  • Council of Scientific & Industrial Research funded “Development and preclinical evaluation of pulmonary targeted Nano suspension delivery to treat lung cancer” project by investigators Dr. Swati Jagdale (PI) and Dr. A. R. Chabukswar (CO-PI) during 2017-2020 (Rs.25.00 lakh).

  • D B Consultancy, Pune on behalf of Fermenta Biotech Ltd., funded “ Vit D3 tablet formulation and development and antimicrobial testing of herbal oils”, a project by Prof. SA Polshettiwar and Prof. Manish Wani during 2017-19 (Rs. 0.50 lakh).
