MIT World Peace University, Pune has organized Sports Summit for its Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff across more than 10 Faculties and Various Departments. There will be inter-staff competitions in various sports categories namely- Cricket, Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis, Throw Ball among others. The ‘Inter Staff Sports Summit 2019’ scheduled to take place between 7th March and 9th March 2019, was inaugurated at the auspicious hands of Hon’ble Shri Rahul V. Karad- Executive President, MITWPU and Vice President- MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions, who is himself a fitness enthusiast and encourages his staff and students to practice healthy lifestyle. The University has inculcated the spirit and values of sportsmanship in its students since its inception under the guidance of its Founder-Hon’ble Dr. Vishwanath Karad, who stated, ‘The Main Purpose of education is to develop the ‘Winning Personality’ of students, who will be Physically fit, Mentally Alert,Intellectually Sharp and Spiritually Elevated, so that he will be able to contribute their mite for the well-being of the Global Society at large.’

MITWPU is known for its excellent Sports Infrastructure and highly qualified sports faculty and has in the past organized several sports tournaments including Inter-Engineering Athletic Meet, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis tournaments, Zonal level Boxing, Badminton, Chess tournaments and Inter-Professional College Volley ball, Basketball tournaments, and so on.
