Today is the international World Telecommunication and Society Day, and MITSOT celebrated it by hosting the “AI for All” event, held right here within the Sant Dnyaneshwara Hall! The event started with registration for the participants at 0930 hrs followed by a welcome address by Dr Milind Pande. Then eminent professor and visiting faculty Dr Suresh Borkar gave his address on AI which was enthusiastically received after which Dr Sharat Aini, Chief – Information Security and strategic IT gave his address to the students. After that the presentations began!

The finance stream in MITSOT gave a presentation on ‘AI in finance’ while the HR stream in MITSOT gave a presentation on ‘AI in HR’ and so did the marketing team and the Telecom team. After that, everyone broke for lunch. They convened later to take part in an exciting AI themed quiz after which a very serious panel discussion occurred about ‘enabling the positive use of AI for all’. The Panel included luminaries such as Mr Kunal Chandratre (Cloud Solution Architect, Microsoft), Mr Pankaj Gugale (Sr manager, Veritas), Mr Sanal Nair (Global Partner, Tricentis India) and others. The panel was moderated by Mr Prashant Pansare (MD and Global CEO, Inteliment Technologies).

Finally, it was time to announce the prize winners and the runners up! The winners of the ‘Idea’ category were Arnab Bhakta, Neha Shukla and Raghav Toshniwal. The Posters competition winners were Alisha Solanki, Paridhi Srivastav, Minu Baranwal and Anuradha Pari. And finally the winner of the quiz were Abhilash Raut and Abhinay Khode with Sagar Chopade and Raghav Toshniwal being the runners up! The exhausting but fulfilling event finally came to a close around 1630 hrs amidst much merriment and sportsmanship while everyone was treated to high tea while they networked! Special shout out to Nikhil who was the comparer for the event and did a good job indeed. A proud day indeed for MITSOT!
