The MIT-WPU School of Civil Engineering has made us proud, again! Honoring an annual event undertaken by the school of Civil engineering, students from its M.Tech and B.Tech courses joined hands again in order to bring another successful blood donation drive to MIT-WPU. This blood donation drive has always been conducted prior to the large NCC sponsored drive which MIT-WPU conducts and it has always been conducted on the 3rd of August (unless it fell on a Sunday) and this year has been no different. Close to 80 people had donated blood before lunch and the volunteers expect close to 70 more. They plan on collecting about 50 liters of blood! This is no small feat. This program operates under the guidance of Prof Dr S S Pimplikar. His practical advice and support has been admired by volunteers and participants alike! Mr Shahapurkar, manager of Aadhar Blood Bank was also on hand to help out with the volunteers, something they all appreciate tremendously!
