The event “Career Planning and Placement Preparation for girl students” was organized by MIT-WPU ACM team in association with ACM-W Pune chapter on Saturday 25th August, 2018. The main objective of this event was to support girl students in all aspects of engineering field and to provide a platform to girl students for interaction with eminent Human Resource managers from the Industry and Training & Placement Officer from academia, wherein the students can learn about the various challenges in the Industry and how one can overcome it. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Sandeep Talwar (Vice President Human Resources, Deutsche Bank, Pune, India), Dr. Vrushali Kulkarni (HOD Computer Department) and Dr. Tejaswini Apte. Then various expert speakers from different fields addressed the audience. Mr. Sandeep Talwar delivered key note speech onCareer planning –“The joy of being spoilt with choices that never existed before!” Mr. ShekharKamble (Branch HR Head, TCS, Pune) addressed to the students on the topic “Skills Identification & Interview Technique for girl students”.

There was panel discussionon “Career Planning for girl students”. Ms. Sushma Joshiwas panel moderator and other panelists were Prof. P. Subrahmanyam, Director (Industry Academia Collaborations, MIT, Pune. ) Mrs. AshwiniKaulgud-Joshi (Principal Software Engineer, Dell EMC, Pune) Mr. Akshat Gupta (Area Sales Manager, Times Internet Limited, Pune) Ms. Nancy Katyal, Image consultant and Soft skills trainer.
