Bharat Asmita National Awards 2020
The Bharat Asmita National Awards 2020 took place on the 3rd of February 2020 from 0930 in the morning. The awards kicked off with the customary welcoming of the guests and a rendition of the ‘Pasayadan’. There was a fine speech delivered by Shri Rahul Karad about the various initiatives taken by MIT-WPU for the purposes of democracy, rural India and the upliftment of women. He also reiterated the purpose behind this award ceremony, namely to recognize the selfless and awe inspiring feats of leaders from the field of Management Education, Journalism & Mass Media and Politics, and the lesson was well received by the audience. This was followed by speeches by Dr Mashalkar and Dr Vijay P Bhatkar who elaborated on the need to recognize leaders in media and education. This was followed by a video showcasing the BANA ceremonies conducted so far and a film about the World’s largest dome for peace built at the MIT loni campus. This was followed by a speech given by revered Prof Dr Vishwanath Karad.
Then it was time to showcase the life achievements of the two recipients of this year’s Bharat Asmita National Awards, namely Dr Preetam Singh and Dr Gagandeep Kang for their years of selfless work and toil. The awardees were then presented with their awards and were persuaded to speak for a few minutes to the audience, which they did. This was followed by a pledge administered to all present at the venue, detailing the work that must be done by the individual in service of the nation and humanity. This was followed by a brief film highlighting the upcoming 10th Bharatiya Chattra Sansad to be held in New Delhi, after which the award ceremony came to a close.
