Role of civil services is very vital in India’s development. Honest, clean, efficient officer can bring major changes in the society and the nation. Civil Servants can ignite the fire of reforms in the society. Civil servants bridge the gap between government and the public. Government makes plans and schemes which are public centric, but due to lack of responsibility, political interference and pressure, the schemes cannot reach to grass root levels and the common man is not benefited. So civil servants must deliver the service which is public centric. They should set service benchmark for sustainable growth.
