Women Developement Cell Objective

Women Development Cell of MIT-WPU School of Management  (UG )was established on 10th November 2011 with the following objectives:

    • To create social awareness about the problems of women and in particular regarding gender discrimination.

    • To develop the self confidence of Women.

    • To guide them about Women Welfare Laws.

    • To assert the importance of spiritual, economic, social, racial and gender equality.

    • To highlight the importance of health and hygiene.

    • To directs Women’s role in the society. To develop multidisciplinary approach for the overall personality development.

    • To organize seminars and workshops related to Women’s development.

    • To prevent sexual harassment and to promote general well-being of Women students, teaching and non-teaching Women staff of the College.

A separate room has be given to WDC for carrying out its various activities and discussion.The room is equipped with all the necessary infrastructure like first aid box, cupboards, chairs, books & CDs related to issues of Women, charts, collages etc made by the female students of the college and members of the cell.

On the occasion of Women’s Day 2020, Women’s Development Cell (WDC) of MIT WPU School of Management UG had organized following activities.

session on “Gender Sensitization and POSH

In order to create awareness among the students about gender related issues, related Act, precautionary measures,a session on “Gender Sensitization and POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace / any Institution)” by Ms. Renuka Mukadam, Gender Issues Consultant, was arranged for all SOM UG students, at Venue: – Vivekanand Hall on 11th March 2020.

A session on “Menstrual Hygiene and Sanitary Waste Disposal Management” for girl students SOM UG, by Girl Up Foundation. In-Room No. 606, Saraswati Vishwa B wing on 12th March 2020 wherein, students were made aware of Sanitary Waste and Self Hygiene, ways to dispose of sanitary waste which are environment friendly.

International Student Cell

MIT-WPU School of Management is a dream destination for Undergraduate Studies for the Foreign Students coming from far corners of the world to India. The same is reflected in the steep increase in total number of International Students at the Institute since 2004.
The Institute has students mainly from Asian and South East Asian countries. We also have students from African continent. Currently SOM-UG has the largest strength of 40 students from Afghanistan followed by Nepal having 17 students studying at the Institute.

We also have students from countries like:

Iran U.A.E Yemen
Kuwait Bhutan Bangladesh
Korea Singapore Congo

We are glad to witness overwhelming response and the faith shown by foreign students in FOM-UG. We are sure we will reach greater heights in the years to come :

‘The world suffers not because of the actions of evil people, but the silence of good people’. We at FOM (UG) have started the Orator’s Hub with this is mind; to break that silence and voice up! We organise our Model UN conference, debates, elocutions, group discussions and open mics for all to get over their stage fear and speak. So come aboard to hone your talking skills and develop yourself into a more confident and efficient leader!


The Sports Club offers a broad spectrum of activities for individuals on campus. The club is committed to provide a healthy sporting habit among the students and encourages them to join the various college sport teams. Sports Club helps individuals learn teamwork and coordination whilst conducting year-round activities.

Here at research club we provide opportunities for debates and problem solving as well as chance to network with national and international business professionals. This club is like your key to acing all kinds of interviews and presentations.


Adventure is to conquer your fear. At MIT-WPU School of Management-UG, conquering your fear has a new address – The Adventure & Trekking Club. The club provides you with a mix of fun, adventure, excitement all at the same time.


The Creative and Social Activities Club was formed with the aim of satiating ones’ need of being creative in everything that they do. CASAC is a perfect blend of fun, creativity, responsibility and socializing at the same time.


When your adrenaline rises, its Enthusia. When your mind runs faster than your feet, its Enthusia. Enthusia Club is organized with a view to boost the enthusiasm of the students and at the same time it channelizes their energy in proper, creative and useful way. Enthusia Club also undertakes social & cultural activities like celebrating Valentines’ Day as Grand Parents’ Day, celebration of Guru Pournima and much more.


Your events, we manage. If event management is your niche, the Event Management Club is a perfect club for you to join. Be it college events or professional events of any company, event management club makes sure to expose its members to almost every working environment. Also, many seminars are conducted to help you manage the events professionally.


If Technology is going ahead, then why should we stay back? Techno Club – a place to meet the tech savvy, a place to find people with similar technology craze. Stay up-to-date with latest technology, trends and much more.


How can life be complete without music? Music Club of SOM-UG  helps you boost your music passion much more than ever. The regular jamming of music bands offers a cherry on the cake to the students.


MIT-WPU School of Management-UG Dance Club is a group of professional classical, salsa, contemporary & bollywood dancers. Regular practice & training sessions give a professional touch to your dancing career.


Acting has a new story. The SOM-UG’s Theatre Society takes into consideration all the activities of dramas – purushottam karandak, firodiya karandak and much more. Time to give a professional touch to your acting skills.


The business ethics & moral club is the club that teaches the ethics & morals to be followed when doing a business. It also conducts various trips to learn about different business environments & develop moral values.


Ideas come alive when you believe in them. No business ever started without an idea. The Entrepreneur Club of MITSOM College brings out the entrepreneur in you. You’ve got ideas, questions or a dream to be an entrepreneur – The Club helps you through it all. Guest lectures, events to showcase your ideas – just everything to help you become an entrepreneur and succeed.
