The School of Media and Journalism provides full-time thoroughly developed programme incorporating lively theoretical lectures, hands-on practical sessions, tutorials, classroom presentations and industry driven assignments. Furthermore, field trips, rural immersion programmes, national and international study tours and projects help to add to the depth of learning. Foundation, core, electives and unique courses related to world peace along with real life research projects, are part of the undergraduate programme curriculum. Adequate emphasis is laid upon co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

The school of media also aims to provide an overall view of the media industry and helps students to understand the dynamics of the industry. MIT-WPU provides the world’s most advanced and uniquely defined opportunity based professional education.

Welcome to MIT-World Peace University, School of Media and Journalism for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs. B.A. Journalism & Mass Communication and M.A Journalism & Mass Communication aim to provide an overview of Journalism and Mass Communication. The programs offered at School of Media and Journalism are a unique blend of practical and classroom learning. The programs provide flexibility and variety that suits the interests and needs of the students. The co-curricular and extra-curricular activities will shape the ideas and provide right direction to the creativity of the students.

School of Media and Journalism will create a group of prospective professionals who would be well equipped to face the challenges of the 21st century. It will fulfill the multiple requirements of employers globally. Rural and National Immersion programs will ensure that empathy is cultivated in students along with professional ethics. B.A. Journalism & Mass Communication and M.A Journalism & Mass Communication Programs endeavor to create reporters, entrepreneurs, editors, leaders, anchors, journalists, advertisers, public relations officers, event managers, film makers, channel heads of the future.

MIT-World Peace University encourages critical thinking, creativity and spiritual development among students. School of Media & Journalism is offering uniquely designed BA (Journalism & Mass Communication) and MA (Journalism & Mass Communication) programs based on MIT WPU core principles of partnerships, social innovation, research and technology. The programme design is based on an enriched blend of industry exposure, interaction with eminent experts, hands-on training, industry visits & field visits, experiential learning, internships, peace studies, yoga, meditation, rural immersion programme and various innovative and interdisciplinary approaches for indoor and outdoor activities, exhibitions and displays

The school takes care that along with providing the academic knowledge and professional skills, learners are also trained to face the challenges of life by providing many value-added courses to enhance their career prospects. The schools offer the opportunity to participate in Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad and other discussion forums. The Schools provides ample opportunities for networking and for open discussion and interactions between students, faculty, industry leaders and eminent personalities. Learners can also avail various opportunities to hone their organizational skills through student clubs and societies.

MIT-WPU’s mantra for students in the 21st Century is to become individuals with high emotional quotient and social awareness. Heritage walks, guest lectures, invited talks, Rural Immersion program ensure that MIT WPU students live this mantra. We conduct yoga sessions every week as an integral part of the curriculum. Massive Open Online Courses are also to be opted by students which help them to have an interdisciplinary approach to their chosen BA Journalism & Mass Communication or MA Journalism & Mass Communication programs. The School of Media & Journalism aims to facilitate the students to shape the young journalists, reporters, policymakers & media leaders of tomorrow. It plans to place students on the world map and prove that students of MIT-WPU’s School of Media & Journalism have great outlook and can certainly excel with correct guidance and motivation. We endeavor to prepare our students to become responsible citizens, adept to face the present situation and future challenges in a fast, rapidly changing world by incorporating the best of academics and values. We aim to nurture the talent in the learners to reach their full potential.

The BA Journalism & Mass Communication and MA Journalism & Mass Communication are unique programs aimed at creating global media personalities with a ground-level connect. The programs have a multi-disciplinary basket of diverse subjects for students who have more than one interest. The programs enable the students to become strong-minded leaders in various fields. The programs ensure that students acquire multiple skill sets and creative mindset to face diverse challenges in their personal as well as professional life. Personally, I think the programs will help students to become balanced individuals with high skill sets, ethics, and values.”
