Program Overview

Mechanical Engineering involves design development and up-gradation of products, systems and processes in every walk of human life. M.Tech curriculum enables graduates to develop solutions to the problems of society within the constraints of economy and environment.

Specialization :

M.Tech – Design Engineering (Intake: 24)

This program offers courses on Advanced Stress Analysis, Advanced Vibration Analysis, Tribology, Analysis and Synthesis of Mechanisms, and similar courses which lead to expertise in design and analysis. Students also gain hands on expertise in modelling and analysis software tools used in industry.

M.Tech – Thermal Engineering (Intake: 18)

This program mainly focuses on thermal aspect of engineering and touches upon the fields like Internal Combustion Engines, Automobile Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Heat and Mass Transfer, Fluid Engineering, Renewable Energy, etc. It also deals with relatively modern area of computational techniques in heat transfer and fluid dynamics, along with its practical applications.

M.Tech – CAD/CAM/CAE  Engineering (Intake: 18)

Globalized market demands products of high quality with lower cost designed by cross functional teams. This has been became possible by only practicing Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Manufacturing. The course is designed to impart philosophy of CAD/CAM as Computational Geometry, Feature Based Machining, Computer Aided Engineering, Discrete Event System Simulation, Manufacturing Modelling, Product Life Cycle Management and Optimization Techniques.

Program Structure

M.Tech is a 2 years full time study Programme which is a perfect launch pad for a rewarding career in the engineering and technology world.

  • Duration: Two Years, Full Time Programme

  • Pattern : Trimester System, Six Trimesters

  • Credit System: Choice Based Credit Systems – 66 Credits

  • Electives: Choice based electives to follow specialization tracks

  • Capstone projects and electives across disciplines

  • Live projects & industrial exposure

  • Social Internship for 1 week in first year for exposure to community issues/ needs

  • National Study Tour for two weeks includes visits to Industries, Industrial Exhibitions, Research Laboratories and Research Organizations and Premium Institutes of National and International repute.
