Program Overview

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, under MIT-WPU’s School of Polytechnic has more than a decade long history of creating the largest number of engineering diploma holders with the latest skills and knowledge required across industry domains.

The program equips our students to face the challenges in core areas such as materials science, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, instrumentation and control, product and system design and manufacturing. Our study program ensures that our students are ready for a variety of engineering roles in industries ranging from automotive, energy, manufacturing and other cross domain fields.

Program Structure

Integrated B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is a 6 years Full-time study Programme. This program will have a trimester pattern.

According to the structure and syllabi, the contents are categorized as

  • EC : Engineering Core

  • DC : Departmental Core

  • DE : Departmental Electives

  • HS : Humanities and Sciences

  • SK : Skill Based Courses

For Integrated B.Tech: SSC/10th pass or equivalent as per government norms with 60% for open category and 55% for reserve category.
