Dr. Katre’s talk was on applications of number theory to various
real life problems. He gave very interesting information about
how ATM transactions are coded with prime numbers. He

Dr. M. M. Shikare explained some applications of Graph theory.
He discussed Konigsberg 7-bridges problem: The city of
Konigsberg in Prussia (now Kaliningrad, Russia) was set on both
sides of the Preger River, and included two large islands which
were connected to each other and the mainland by seven bridges.
