The Masters of Commerce is a Post-graduate Commerce program providing world-class postgraduate commerce curriculum using MIT-WPU method. It provides conceptual knowledge, logical reasoning ability and analytical skills in the domain of commerce. Enables one to develop skills necessary to deal with real time situations and finding solutions to complex problems. Inculcate entrepreneurial & employability skills among students. The course aims at developing skills to do a thorough analysis of financial statements and use them as basis for financial decision making. Enable the students in practical application of the concepts taught during the course.

Programme Structure

The M.Com is a 2 year, 6 Trimester Credit based P.G.Degree Programme consisting of 92 credits. The program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, tools methods and theories of Commerce in a way such that they can apply them in practice. We inculcate WPU Method of Continuously Updated Education System to ensure our students have an edge over others in their Professional endeavours

  • First Year: It includes Core Commerce papers, Core Peace (WPU) papers and Elective papers with total Credits of 44. The program requires minimum 21 Credits to be achieved in First Year for admission to Second Year.

  • Second Year: It includes Core Commerce papers, Core Peace (WPU) papers, Electives papers and AECC papers with total Credits of 48.

Program Highlights

  • The M.Com Post-graduate Program introduces student to an in-depth study of live projects related to: finance and accounting; laws and policies concerning commerce; business management; financial decision making; financial statement analysis; wealth management; marketing etc. with a view to give them a hold on theoretical aspects of different concepts of commerce and finance.

  • The curriculum offers specializations, like Cost & Works Accounting, Banking & Finance and Marketing Management. This programme is designed to equip students and update them about the recent trends in the field of commerce.

  • During study at the school, the students are encouraged to get hands-on experience in the corporate world through internship projects with reputed organizations. In their curriculum they are encouraged to take up mini projects and dissertations, to supplement theoretical knowledge with practical understanding. They also undertake projects benefiting local industries or dealing with local problems. These projects enable them to understand the relevance of working in a group and also help them to realize the finer aspects and importance of teamwork.

  • Use of Multimedia is an integral part of teaching pedagogy. The school has State of Art Infrastructure with smart classrooms. The Program offers holistic development through lectures and sessions on Yoga and Meditation.
