Writer’s web


Writer’s Web is a club initiated by BA (Hons) English students to read, recite, write and express themselves. As part of regular activities under the club, students also get an opportunity to meet and interact with renowned writers and stalwarts from the film fraternity. The club provides vista of activities like creative writing workshops, open mic events, manuscript reading and also allows students to explore various competitions.

Utopia – It starts with you


On 3rd of December 2019 the members of Writers’ Web club of School of Liberal Arts organized an event named as ‘Utopia – It starts with you’. The main theme of the event was an open mic which was a platform for the young artists to showcase their talents. The event was based on college life. There were many noteworthy performances that left everyone in awe. Apart from this, there were many interesting activities, such as games stall viz. Binge Watch, Minute to win it, Tic Tac Toe, Taboo, Seven-up seven down, a special stall was allotted for pastries and beverages and we also had a photo booth for all the photogenic who had a gala time clicking their pictures. The students also performed a skit which was based on the theme of college life. The faculties also graced us with their presence and actively participated in all the activities enthusiastically and made this event a great success.
Writers’ Web is a club for all the budding writers of MIT-WPU. The club provides a platform for all the students to showcase their literary and creative side through writing. It is a club formed by the students of the English Department for the students who are interested in writing and knowing more about what makes literature different from the other subjects.

Aatman – The Psychology club


Established by the students of BA (Hons) Psychology, Aatman club aims at providing a good platform for all the budding psychologists. The club hosts workshops, exhibitions, guest lectures and campaigns to inculcate mental health awareness amongst young minds. The plethora of activities are based on various concepts using psychology. The annual exhibition displays stalls featuring Art therapy, Graphology for personality analysis, stress management and self-help awareness. A number of innovative drives are also held throughout the year towards betterment of psychological well-being.

An initiative by students of BA (Hons) Political Science, it embodies the spirit of democracy. It organizes guest lectures by policymakers, political icons, social workers and eminent personalities. Its activities include debates, elocution, polls, a social campaign that enhances understanding of political scenarios amongst students. This club is a wonderful platform for future Political Leaders.

The 15th of August 2019 truly was a festive day with the Independence Day of our country and the festival of Raksha Bandhan falling on the same day!! In order to celebrate on this festive occasion, the Young Democrats club of the Liberal Arts Department had organized an event on the 14th August 2019, to promote the feeling of patriotism and brotherhood called as AZADI KA BOND.
