It took Dr. Karad and the famous Architect Shri Naren Kuwadekar, almost 6 months to put on paper his concept and design of “Gurukul” based on Saptswar, Saptrang and Saptrishi.

Established in 2001, MITCOE is a sister concern of MIT, Pune and has been the destination of choice for most aspiring engineers. MIT-COE is now MIT-WPU.
1999Established Maharashtra Academy of Engineering (MITAOE), Alandi, Pune
MIT Academy of Engineering (MITAOE), Alandi, Pune, was established in 1999.
1998UNESCO Chair for Human Rights, Democracy, Tolerance and Peace at World Peace Centre, MAEER’s MIT, Pune
In appreciation of the work carried out by MAEER’s MIT, Pune-India under the banner World Peace Centre (Alandi), of championing the cause of promoting the ‘Value-Based Universal Education System’ for spreading the message of Peace based on an appropriate blending of Science, Technology, and Spirituality, UNESCO-Paris bestowed the World Peace Centre (Alandi) with UNESCO Chair for Human Rights, Democracy, Tolerance on 12th May 1998

MAEER’s MIT Polytechnic [Formerly Sri Savitribai Phule Women’s Polytechnic, Pune] was established in the year 1995.
Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research (MIMER), Pune
MAEER’S MIT Pune, established, Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research (MIMER) in the year 1995 at Talegaon Dabhade, near Pune-India. The institute, originally affiliated to the University of Pune is now under Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Nashik, and is recognized by Medical Council of India.
1987Establishment of First School of Management Education under MAEER’s MIT
Another chapter in the History of MAEER’s MIT began in 1987, with the establishment of the MIT School of Management and MIT School of Business (MITSOB).
1983Establishment of Maharashtra Institute of Technology-MIT
On 24th June 1983, news announcements of the 1st Engineering College in Maharashtra offered a ray of hope to many engineering aspirants.
The Opening Day: 5th August 1983
5th August 1983. The first bell, which rang at 7.00 in the morning, was a moment to rejoice in the realisation of a dream and the start of the MAEER Journey.
1981The Seed Thought : A Newspaper Article on ‘Engineering Education Scenario in Maharashtra’
A Newspaper Article featuring a story on the dearth of Engineering Colleges in Maharashtra- India, leading to the failure of deserving candidates in securing admissions to Engineering colleges, which in turn resulted in depression and incidences of suicide. This situation became the driving force for Prof. Dr. Vishwanath Karad, an engineering Professor at Government college of Engineering (C.O.E.P-Pune), to change this adverse situation into an opportunity for young aspirants.
