Dr. Savita Kulkarni received the B.E.(Electronics) degree from Pune University in 1989 and M.E(Computer Engg.)2003 from Bharati Vidyapith, Pune. In 2016 she received the Doctor of Philosophy (Computer Science and Technology) degree from the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, “Investigation Techniques For Electrical Characterization Of Petroleum Products using Microstrip Resonators”.

She has been associated with Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune since 1991 and currently she is working as Associate Professor at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. She has been a recipient of, “Ideal Teacher Award”, on occasion of Teachers Day, 5th Sept, 2008. She has over 26 years of teaching experience in the fields of Robotics, Microwave Engineering and Electronics System Design.

She is Accomplished Researcher in Microwave Engineering, She has authored the paper, which got published in World’s highest rank Journal, IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, August 2015.

She is instructor for “MIT Robocon Tech team” consistently for last ten years for MIT Tech Team, for the ROBOCON competitions at National and International level.

MIT Robocon Team has represented India for four times at International Robocon the contest at India 2008, Egypt 2010, Hong Kong 2012 and Vietnam 2013. This year March 2017, MIT Robocon team are the Runners–up among 110 teams and have won special awards.The Project entitled: “Development of Low-Cost Myoelectric Controlled Prosthetic Arm” under the thrust area – Electronics in human endeavor, got first prize at Intel, India National level project competition, 2015.

She has initiated the idea and worked for the NVIDIA lab development. In 2016 MIT, Pune has been selected as a GPU Education Center for NVIDIA.

She is working as Project coordinator for projects with IUCCA, Pune for last four years.

She has provided consultancy for the measurements with state of the art equipment Agilent “Network Analyser” to Professionals and Researchers.
