Bio

Dr. Balaji Patil is a Professor in Computer Engineering department of MIT Pune. He received his Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering from Uttrarakhand Technical University, Dehradoon, India in the year 2016. Prior to Ph.D program he graduated from SGGSCE&T, Nanded (Govt.Aided) , and did his Masters from Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT), Pune. He has 23 years of teaching experience and working with MIT Pune since 1996 during this duration he has taught the subjects in the domain of Networking and Cyber security . He is acting as a College Examination Officer (CEO) for Savitribai Phule Pune University examinations and conduct all online examinations for internal and external agencies. His primary research interests include Network Management, Cyber Security, Cyber Forensics & IoT. Over the years he has supervised numerous bachelors and masters students. He has published papers in various National / International conferences and journals. He was a Board of Studies (BoS) Member of Pune University during the year 2005-2010. His contributions are recognized with ‘MIT Foundation Day Award’ from MAEER, Pune in 2013, “Best Faculty” award from Cognizant in 2018 and “Significant Contribution Award ” from Computer Society of India (CSI) in 2014. At MIT-WPU, Currently he is an Associate Head for School of Computer Engineering and Technology and acting as Secretary of CSI Pune Chapter.
