Mrs. Alka Barhatte was graduated in Electronics Engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathawada University, Aurangabad in 1978.She has completed her M. E. (Electronics-VLSI Design) from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune, India in 2006.

Currently she is pursuing her PhD (Electronics &Telecommunication) at IOIT,Pune research h center under Savitribai Phule Pune University. She is working with Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune as Assistant Professor, Dept. of Electronics and Communication Engineering since July 2003. Prior to this, she was faculty and instructor at Synergy Infotech, C-DAC’s authorized training institute for one year.

Mrs. Alka Barhatte has 12 years of experience in teaching and four years of experience in research in the field of soft computing, Artificial Neural Network, signal processing and Image processing. Mrs. Alka Barhatte has published two research papers in the international journals and presented four research papers in IEEE international conferences and 01 paper in national conference proceedings. She has reviewed the papers in the International Conference organized by IEEE Kolkata Section.

She is the faculty representative of academic connect program of KPIT with MIT. Mrs. Alka Barhatte has organized many guest lecturers for UG and PG students as well she has organized many industrial visits for UG students. Mrs. Alka Barhatte has guided 4 ME students and have completed their Master dissertation whereas 12+ undergraduate students have completed their project successfully. Mrs. Alka Barhatte is Fellow of IETE and Life Member of ISTE.
