International Conference on Socio-Legal Intricacies of Artificial Intelligence

Over the previous few decades, ICTs have transformed people's lives. Advances in the internet, communication technologies, mobile applications, artificial intelligence, data science etc. are among the most important drivers of this transformation. This conference deals with how AI and law, ethics, and society are interrelated. Its main aim is to provide people with practical and cross-disciplinary ways to solve AI’s problems such as legal issues, ethical conflicts, and the impact on society. A number of topics are important such as accountable algorithms, private data safeguarding, fair access to AI, and worldwide guidelines.
- AI and Privacy: How do present privacy laws address AI in tasks like collecting data, surveillance, and making decisions?
- AI’s Liability and Accountability: How responsible is AI for its actions when AI malfunctions or does wrong, along with discussions about AI’s status as a legal person?
- AI and Intellectual Property Rights: AI-driven issues and challenges to the intellectual property regime.
- AI, Automation, and Industry: Social and economic impact of AI-driven automation on job displacement, co-robotics, etc.
- AI in Criminal Justice and Surveillance: Role of AI in policing, surveillance, and its intersection with human rights. AI and cybercrimes.
- AI in Healthcare: Impact of AI on healthcare and its intersection with human rights. The pros and cons of using AI in healthcare.
- AI in Legal Practice and Access to Justice: AI can change the legal profession by making legal service delivery faster and making justice more available to many, through support in analyzing cases and creating documents.
Proceedings will be published as a single volume book in proceedings series of Atlantis Press (Part of Springer Nature) with ISSN assigned, and registration of a unique online reference (DOI) for all articles at CrossRef;
- Automatic data Submission to relevant indexation databases such as Dimensions, IET Inspec, CNKI, etc., where applicable, they are also submitted to Web of Science (CPCI) (subject to acceptance).
