Dr. Sharmishta Desai is working as a Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Technology at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune, India. She has more than 20 years of experience. She has received multiple awards and research grants in her name. She has published papers in reputed SCI, ESCI Q1 and Q2 journals. She has Google Scholar h-index 10 and i-index 11, SCOPUS Index 7. For her innovation "Wristband Sanitiser" developed during the pandemic, she has received appreciation from the Prime Minister's Office and ICMR. She is working on AI algorithms for detecting manufacturing defects in Aircraft Blades for which she has received an 8 lakhs grant from Bharat Forge.
