Dr Minal Deshmukh has been working as an Associate Professor at Dr Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University for the past 15 years. She has 17 years of teaching and industry experience. She has completed one DST-funded project worth INR 50 lacs under the Young Scientist Scheme. She has completed one research project funded by BCUD-Pune University and various consultancies based on her subject expertise. She has published 35 international papers and attended many international and national conferences. She has 7 patents on her credit. She works as a consultant for problems like Biofuels, Carbon capture, Oil spill removal, water treatment, and solid waste treatment.

She has completed her PhD on Bioenergy and M. Tech in Chemical Engineering from Pune University. Her primary research areas are bioenergy, Drilling operations and drilling fluids and enhanced oil recovery; eco-friendly solutions for oil spill removal and carbon sequestration. She has published her research work in reputed journals like Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Energy and Fuels, and Environment Science and Pollution Research.

She has been awarded the Women Achievers Award for Excellence, Leadership and Impact by the Society of Women Engineers. She has also been awarded an Outstanding Researcher award in Chemical Engineering by VIVA Foundations. She has taught various chemical and petroleum engineering subjects during her academic career and guided many B. Tech, M. Tech and PhD students. She has been associated with various administrative works like NAAC and IQAC, CAP finance director, industrial study tours at ONGC, Cairn, National and international immersion, Research coordinator, PhD coordinator, admission process, and exam coordinator apart from academics.
