Mrs. Himangi Tanmay Neve

Bio

Himangi Neve is an Assistant Professor in the Bioengineering Department of Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University in Pune, India. She has a master’s degree in polymer engineering and is now pursuing a PhD in chemical engineering. She has 11 years of combined job experience in industry and academia. Her research focuses on developing more effective and efficient bioconversion technologies for converting agricultural waste into high-value items, as well as evaluating the significance of life cycle assessment in processes ranging from waste collection to product distribution. She has produced over 5 research articles in international journals and 3 book chapters, and has garnered numerous accolades, including two Best Paper awards at international conferences and a runner-up team at the MITWPU Hackathon. She also won a Rs. 3 lakh research grant from MITWPU, as well as Rs. 1 lakh in the Hackathon. Himangi has also completed a number of waste management consulting projects for national and multinational companies. She has also published an Indian patent. In addition to her teaching and research responsibilities, Himangi is the department’s IQAC, Exam, Infrastructure, and Rural Immersion Coordinator.
